we made it to TEXAS...

The drive over here took us ONLY 18 hours..for most people it takes 12-13...but with 2 small kiddos, 2 cats, our dog, g-ma liz and hauling our entire life in the back of a uhaul, wells-cargo trailer and my car stuffed to capacity (mostly with beer and wine..we are in a dry county!!!!!!!!!) it was the longest day and it probably didn't help out that nathan and i had only 3 hours of sleep the night before. THANK YOU GOD... for protecting us and keeping us safe on our drive and for the Shamu Movie the boys insisted on watching over and over:)

max..our back-up driver!! The first part of our adventure is over and we are excited to see how LIFE will treat us.
Thankful you all arrived safely! Hope Nathan didn't have to endure the cat poo for too many miles :) Can't wait to hear more about the farm!(and thank you for all my pots, etc.!! I have very happy plants on the patio now) Love you guys!
ReplyDeleteHey Crystal! It's Darcy Groen (Parish). I'm so glad you're keeping a blog! I can't believe you're in Friona, TX. Isn't that in the middle of nowhere? Anyway, I'm glad your trip is over and went fairly well. We made the same trip on I-40 to get to Chicago in June and we could only drive 8-9 hours a day!
