we are F-A-M-I-L-Y

WARNING: lots of pictures!!!!

Every year WE YA'LL go to the most adorable town of Wheaton, Illinois for FAMILY weekend at Wheaton College to watch my brother Rock play football, celebrate his birthday and go to downtown Chicago.

First thing is chapel held every friday evening before the big game on saturday. this is a time for parents, friends, students and football players to have fellowship, praise God and to pray that He favors the wheaton thunder team (well i made that part up)VB. each chapel a senior must "share" his testimony about how wheaton football has changed their life and a little bit about themselves. We have been waiting 4 years for this and it was worth the wait!!

so this year and this chapel was Rock's turn and we had our custom shirts on to kick off the weekend!!
GO #34

rock did a great job and even had a few laughs in the crowd when he mentioned his parent's rented a house across the street from him last season. YES this is true!!

if you look very closely my parents are down on the track near the middle for senior parent appreciation. i don't know any parent that attended almost every game for the past 4 years. what will they do now that football is over????????????
we lucked out with beautiful weather this game... compared to the past few years we froze our little you know what's off!!!
we got some football action..makes me excited to think that one day my boys will play football and i will be at every one of their games too!!

..tRICK OR TREaT...

Our First Holiday In Texas...Halloween!

I know we live in a very small town (less than 4,000) but i think every single kid came to our neighborhood. I ran out of candy in less than 3 hours and my door bell continued to ding for the next 3 hours! Trust me i had lots of candy too!

This is Max's outfit pre-costume.. because what else is a mom to do when she buys this outfit that is worn less than a few hours...take lots of pictures!!! Totally worth it!!
Now that Max is 10 months old ( my baby is growing up way to fast) this child can move real fast!! He loves chasing his big brother and playing with whatever he can get his hands on.

Here they are...Iron Man and the Lil Elephant.
Quite the combination i know but Max had to be an Elephant just like his brother did on his first Halloween and it was so cute had to use it twice!!

Love the faces as they stare at all the trick or treaters in their costumes passing by.

You know this guy is having a good time with boogies in his nose and a blue stained face from m&m's..Natey is loving his Iron Man costume.
Max does not care for things on his head :)
We have made some new wonderful memories, remember old memories & know that this very weekend they are living what will once be, their memories.

I'll love you til the end of vine.

pump·kin

  • NOUN:
    • A coarse trailing vine (Cucurbita pepo) widely cultivated for its fruit.
    • The large pulpy round fruit of this plant, having a thick, orange-yellow rind and numerous seeds.
    • Any of several other vines of the genus Cucurbita, especially C. maxima or C. moschata, bearing large pumpkinlike squashes.
  • A moderate to strong orange.

While driving to our first high school football game (muleshoe mules vs. friona chieftons) we drove passed this pumpkin field...i had to take the boys and snap a few photos the following week. Come to find out there are all kinds of pumpkin fields close to the dairy and the owner of this patch told us to take ALL we want!!  So we Kindly did!!

... My little Max...

...his little hands...

big brother nathan picked out his pumpkin

love these levi's..thanx to his gg

what brothers do right...throw big objects at their little brothers head. this is when the picture taking came to a halt and tears started pouring down. I guess i should get use to it as a mom of 2 boys:)

.....SmELLS lIKe hOme.....

It has officially been TWO week's since we have become Texans and we are settling in quite nicely!!

Here are some pictures from our MOO-VING in day and our new place of hire..the DAIRY!

Love all the trees and do you see that garage!! It is a dream come true for Nathan, he calls it his "man cave". For me..it is more space to keep all my junky funky finds :)

This would be the "before" picture of the house..."after" to come soon!!
I have so many ideas and projects for this house..little by little.

The boys love going for wagon rides in our neighborhood and i have just as much fun pulling them along waving to everyone. Waving must be done at all times in this land of Friona, friendly people.  This is at the end of the road and it really is "WIDE OPEN SPACES"..(thank you dixie chicks)

To some it might be smelly... but to me it SMELLS LIKE HOME!!!!!!

Del Rio Dairy
est. 1982

Amazing sunrise on my first day at the dairy. i look forward to this view every morning..GOD IS GOOD!!

Lil Nathan just loves cows and gets so excited when he comes to the dairy. Makes my little heart so happy that my boys will also get to grow up on the dairy like their mommy.
